Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall human resources & payroll administration for the company. This is a Part-Time role, 2-3 days per week ongoing. This role will support the Systems in Motion businesses: Conveyor Solutions, Inc (Elgin, IL), KVK, Inc (Bridgeview, IL), MHIG, Inc (Minneapolis, MN) and ESG, Inc (Elgin, IL).

POSITION OVERVIEW:  The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall human resources & payroll administration for the company.  This is a Part-Time role, 2-3 days per week ongoing.  This role will support our Conveyor Solutions, Inc business (Elgin, IL), our KVK, Inc business (Bridgeview, IL), MHIG, Inc (Minneapolis, MN) and ESG, Inc (Elgin, IL).  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting, Hiring & Onboarding:

  • Support hiring managers with job placement, screening, interviewing and selection
  • Manage vendor relationships for recruiting services and agencies
  • New Hire orientation & onboarding
  • 60 Day-in New Hire check-in

Payroll Processing (via ADP workforce now)

  • Bi-weekly Hourly payroll processing
  • Semi-Monthly Salary payroll processing
  • PTO administration & monitoring
  • Annual W-2 preparation & filing
  • State Registration for new sales & service territories

Benefits Administration

  • Annual Benefits renewal process management  
  • New employee onboarding
  • COBRA administration for former employees

401k Administration 

  • Committee member (with CFO & CEO)
  • Annual Census & compliance testing review & 5500 filing
  • Support new employee or existing employees joining 401k

Employee Performance Management

  • Annual performance review process & form design
  • Execution of annual performance review & periodic performance check-ins
  • Support Managers with employee performance improvement plans

Employee Policy Development and Administration

  • Revise Employee Policy manual
  • Administer and maintain policies as needed
  • Maintain / Update Employee Job Descriptions as needed

Training & Development

  • Develop & Implement standard company training (Respectful workplace, OSHA, etc)
  • Maintain employee training records    


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • - Back up First Impression Specialist, when needed
  • - Assist with Facility management
  • - Other duties as assigned

DECISION MAKING

  • - Effectively organize and supervise all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the company
  • - Accurately maintain employee records for effective hiring practices, performance evaluations, training, and employee benefits
