Inspection
- Metal Detection
- X-Ray
- Check-Weigh
- Vision
Inspection systems are essential
in any food process. These systems offer checks and balances
needed to provide customers with a perfect product and cost
effective solutions to manufacturers for process, product, and
package integrity. Dorner can integrate multiple inspection
operations onto one conveyor and combine controls to create one
system. Other inspection components include metal free zones,
reject systems, lockable reject bins, and system interfaces.

Identification
- Laser Scanner
- CCD Scanner
- RFID
- Character Recognition
Food automation requires the
ability to automatically identify various characteristics of
food products and their packaging. Accurate identification is
the key for sorting and merging products throughout the
processing stages as well as movement within the facility. As a
result, Dorner has capabilities for single product, carton,
case, and pallet applications for routing, labeling, and
information processing. Combined with our in-house control
resources, Dorner offers our customers system optimization
throughout the entire processing.

 |
Sortation
- Product Routing
- Diverts
- Merges
Sorting, routing, and merging
often takes place on multiple conveyors. The conveyor controls,
hardware, and software used for starting, stopping, and
monitoring the product flow with a Sortation solution is the
back bone to an effective solution. Dorner will develop and
design solutions to maximize Sortation within our customer’s
facilities. And when required, Sortation systems will be
assembled, tested, and accepted before leaving the Dorner’s
factory. On site installation and start up also available.

Label & Marking
- Apply Only
- Print & Apply
- Inkjet
- Laser
Whether Dorner uses a customer
specified labeler and print engine or one we recommend, the
result is the same. Dorner is able to produce results with
labeling and marking that others don’t. Dorner applies this know
how to assure precise label placement on individual pieces,
parcels, cartons, and cases. Dorner has developed a number of
modules that can stand alone, or be integrated into a larger
system to improve overall performance and throughput.
