You’re an extremely organized individual, and always motivated to help others. We are looking for the next Customer Service Representative to join us. The Customer Service Representative’s primary responsibility is processing incoming calls or inquiries from prospective customers or clients.  In addition, this role will also support the Owner, Key Account Manager and Representative, Service Department, and Engineering staff with order processing.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Initial point of customer contact for all incoming “blind” calls and distribute according to policy.

  • Assist customer effectively by determining what they need and decide the appropriate personnel best to help them.

  • Process customer parts orders; distribute all others to appropriate personnel for quoting.

  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customer’s profitability profiles.

  • Review customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentation on quotes generated by the customer service rep.

  • Accurately process customer transactions, such as orders and/or returns.

  • Responsible for handling every aspect of a customer’s purchase order, including, but not limited to, the timely verification of data and accurate entry of order information into order entry. systems for quotes generated by the customer service representative.

  • Responsible for handling every aspect of placing orders with Vendors, including, but not limited to, the timely verification of the Vendors sales acknowledgement and accurate entry of the purchase order into the order entry system for quotes generated by the customer service representative.

  • Monitor scheduled ship dates and order status to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.

  • Provide customer order status updates when changed.

  • Follow-up with customers after sales to ensure customer satisfaction, and resolve any grievances.

  • Accurately process returns, warranty, and freight claims.

You’d be an excellent candidate if you have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2-4+ years of Inside Sales/Customer Service experience, preferably in industrial distribution or material handling

  • A self-motivated, “Can-Do” Attitude
