Support for device, CPU and software troubleshooting- Highly experienced controls and software engineers are available for support 24 hours a day seven days per week to assist you with any issues in your controls system. Faulty modems can cause issues with connecting to your WMS. Scanners can get out of alignment causing bad reads of your bar codes. Photo eyes malfunction causing dead spots, or your conveyor to go into slug mode. We are standing by to help you. Around the clock support is available, and included in several different maintenance agreements.

When your conveyor is acting up, or maybe there is an alarm that you cannot find out on the floor give us a call. Sometimes all you need is a skilled a skilled controls engineer to remotely connect to your PLC or WMS to troubleshoot the cause. This can drastically diminish down time

System monitoring of alarms, uptime, & issues

Remote system monitoring is included in the Platinum plan; providing a eWON router is installed an internet access is made available.  Our remote system monitoring program includes maintaining a daily count of up to 50 individual alarms. These reports are presented in an Excel™ spreadsheet format.

Reports are emailed to clients on a weekly basis and can be used to identify changing trends and alert clients to potential problem areas that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. Clients are provided with a list of potential problems, possible causes, and suggested solutions.

Alarms that are typically monitored, counted and compiled include emergency stop conditions, safety switch status, motor overloads, low air pressure, jams at various photo eyes and lane full conditions.

Other items that are typically monitored include individual conveyor usage (runtime in minutes per day), and line full conditions (minutes per day). Monitoring can be customized to meet customer needs.

Remote System Monitoring can be used to help maintain or even increase system efficiency and reduce down time.

Software Support

CSI provided controls, and software can be supported long term like this very old system. We offer comprehensive programs to keep your systems running at optimal performance. The Conveyor Control System provided by Conveyor Solutions is Windows-based software running on a dedicated PC. This software communicates with all automation control components on the floor such as barcode scanners, PLCs, in-motion scales and other devices. The information collected is graphically represented for viewing by plant personnel on-site or remotely.

Engineers on-call 24/7- With a support agreement in place our controls engineers are available to assist you by phone, remotely, or On-site. It all starts with a phone call. From there we will quickly discern whether your issue is mechanical, or controls related. If it is controls related we will determine if you require a service call to troubleshoot controls hardware. Our highly experienced controls engineers are available to help you through every situation.

Electrical, and controls PM

We offer planned maintenance agreements for your controls system to help minimize disruptions in productions. Yearly we will:

  • Analyze throughput, and make adjustments and suggestions
  • Clean and target problem area Photoeyes
  • Check mounting hardware which may have vibrated loose
  • Clean your control panel circuitry, and filters
  • Check motor amp draw
  • Check ambient temperature of motors
  • Address any customer issues
